The Mason City Commission spent the majority of its meeting Monday discussing an application to the Texas Dept. of Agriculture for funding for local infrastructure projects from a Community Development Block grant program.
Following a public hearing, the first action item on the City Commission agenda will be a discussion of the proposal which could total upwards of $500,000. They authorized the City Administrator to begin procurement of administrative services for the grant. The first steps will involve finding a grant administrator and an engineer for help in drafting the request.
In other action, the Mason City Commission approved a request to name the Soccer complex the “Keven and Tennile Kothmann Soccer Complex”, and approved placing a new sign on the building at the Complex.
