Early Voter Turnout Sets Record

Early voting for the November 5th General Election is set a record for McCulloch County in terms of both early voting and the total voter turnout.

As of 2:00pm Friday afternoon, 2,490 McCulloch County residents had voted early.  That turnout was 46 percent of the 5,400 registered voters in the County.  With the addition of the final hours on Friday, and the votes that will be cast on Election Day, the overall voter turnout in McCulloch County will be well above the 1,800 votes that were cast in the County in the 2020 election.

In Mason County, voter turnout had already gone past the 50% mark by Wednesday of last week.

Across the State of Texas, over 7 million people voted early or by mail as of last Wednesday.  The early vote represented more than  40% of the State’s over 17 million registered voters,
