Reports from across the area late Friday and early Saturday indicated a considerable amount of damage was caused by the line of thunderstorms that moved through the area.
Moving from the northwest to southeast, the main line of the storm was reported to have included large hail that broke windows and damaged roofs, strong winds that brought down trees and tree limbs and heavy rains that brought flash flooding to several areas.
Some of the reports from the Friday night storm included damage to the building on North Bridge Street next to the Evridge’s warehouse; the roof of the Lohn Post Office being blown off; and unofficial reports of possible tornado sightings near Lohn and Melvin.
