Acting Texas Controller Kelly Hancock announced this week the State will distribute $1.5 billion in sales tax rebates to Texas Cities and Counties in the month of February — 2.5 percent more than in February of 2025.
McCulloch County sales tax rebates in Feb. were down 4.5% at $211,408 and down 3% year-to-date at $382.500. Within McCulloch County, the City of Brady’s tax rebate for Feb. is off 4% at $141,000. For the year thus far, the City of Brady’s rebate is off 2% at $255,700..
Mason County’s rebate in Feb. is up 10% at $56,800, and up 4% for the year at $89,448.
The Menard County rebate totaled $45,000 for February, up 11%. Year-to-date, Menard’s rebate is $83,000 — up 10%.
San Saba County’s Feb. rebate is $195,000, up 49% from last year, and up 44% year-to-date at $319.000.
