Texas Controller Glenn Hegar announced Wednesday the State Will Distribute just over $1 Billion in sales tax rebates to Texas City and Counties for the month of January, 2023. Across the State, the January sales tax distrbution is 7.6% more than was distributed in January of 2022.
The January allocations are based on sales made in November, 2022.
McCulloch County sales tax rebates in January totaled $157,000, down 3% from last year. Within McCulloch County, the City of Brady’s tax rebate for January is $106,000 — 5% less than last year.
Mason County’s January rebate is $30,000, off 8% from the 2022 figure.
The Menard County January rebate is $29,000, down 7% from January, 2022.
Concho County’s January rebate is up 3% at $28,000.
San Saba’s rebate in January is $87,000, off 3% from last year.
