Acting Texas Controller Kelly Hancock announced this week the State will distribute $1.2 billion in sales tax rebates to Texas City and Counties in the month of December — 7.5 percent more than in December of 2024.
McCulloch County sales tax rebates in Dec. totals $184,000, off 3% from Dec. of last year. Year-to-date, McCulloch County’s rebate is up 4% at $2.2 million. Within McCulloch County, the City of Brady’s tax rebate for Dec. is $125,000 — half of one percent from last year and up 4% year-to-date at $1.5 million.
Mason County’s rebate in Dec. is down 3% at $37,000, while the year-to-date rebate is up flat at $431,000.
The Menard County rebate totaled $41,000, up 19% from Dec. of 2024, with the year-to-date up 2% at $422,000.
San Saba County’s Dec. rebate is $105,000, up 28% for the month. For the year, San Saba’s rebate is up 13% at $1.3 million.
