Early voting for the election to determine who will be the next member of the Brady City Council will end Tuesday, Dec. 9th at 5pm.
Election day is Saturday, Dec. 13. Voting hours for Early Voting are 8am-5pm at Brady City Hall. On Election Day, the polls will be open from 7am-7pm at Brady City Hall.
The two candidates in the Run-Off – Vickie Roddie and Raymond Ledezma — will each be a guest on KNEL’s Morning Program at 8:15am on Monday & Tuesday to outline their background, why they’re running for the vacant City Council seat and why they are asking for the public’s vote.
Vickie Roddie is scheduled to appear on the program Monday, Dec. 8. Raymond Ledezma is scheduled to be a guest on Tuesday, Dec. 9th.
In the Nov. 4 Special Election to fill the Place 4 vacancy on the Brady City Council, Vickie Roddie received 164 votes, with Raymond Ledezma receiving 120 votes. Roddie’s total vote was 42% of the total 386 votes cast in the election, while Ledezma’s total was 31%.
Since no candidate received more than 50% of the total of 386 votes cast, the top two contenders will now meet in a Run-Off Election to be held on December 13th.
