The Mason City Commission will hold two meetings on Thursday, July 27th.
The first will be a Budget Workshop at 3:00pm at the Richard P Eckert Civic Center for a discussion of budget priorities for next year.
Then, at 6:00pm, the Commission will hold a Public Hearing on a request by Elizabeth St. Charles to allow a manufactured home on the M-1 property at 604 N. Avenue F.
Following the Public Hearing, the Commission will hold a Special Meeting at which they will consider the variance requested by St. Charles.
A second item to be taken up at the Special Meeting will be consideration of an ordinance authorizing the issuance of a City of Mason tax note for $650,000 for the purchase of approximately 37 acres. Use of a well located on that property will enable the City to increase its overall water supply and capacity.
