The Boil Water Notice issued by the City of Mason Monday afternoon was rescinded Wednesday morning.
The Notice covered Mason water customers in the area East of Bickenbach Street and Pontotoc Street south to Silverleaf Apartments just South of Hwy 29E. The problem was caused by a water main break.
Following repairs, the water was tested by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The announcement by TCEQ and the City that testing had shown the water is safe to drink came Wednesday morning.
