Mason, McCulloch County Commissioner Courts

The Mason and McCulloch County Commissioners’ Courts each held their regular sessions Monday, Sept. 22.

Mason County Commissioners will began their meeting with consideration of two proclamations — one declaring Sept. 17-23rd as Constitution Week, and the second proclaiming September as Suicide Prevention Month in Mason Count.

Mason Commissioners considered authorizing a County match for the Texas Department of Agriculture Delivered Meals grant. They also considered the appointment of Election Judges and Alternates for the next two-year term.

A Subreciptient agreement with the Texas Dept. of Emergency Management administered grants in regard the Disaster Declaration declared for the County was also on the agenda.

McCulloch County
Commissioners had an agenda with 16 separate action items.

Among those items will be discussion of determining the manner for filling the position of McCulloch County Veteran’s Service Officer, although that issue was tabled until a later meeting to allow for consultation with the County Atttorney.

McCulloch Commissioners approved an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Brady for Emergency Medical Services in the amount of $303,685 for the one-year term beginning October 1st.

Other items on the agenda will include an agreement with the Texas Division of Emergency Management to administer awards for disaster assistance.. Commissioners conclude the session with a workshop in the afternoon to discuss FEMA Damage Assessment and possible grant administration.
