Both the Mason County and McCulloch County Commissioners Courts will be meeting for their regular sessions on Monday, July 27th.
Mason County Commissioners will begin their meeting at 8:45am. Their first item of business will be the presentation of Distinguished Service Award to the Mason County Historical Commission.
Other items on the agenda will include approval of the use of the Courthouse grounds for The Commercial Bank’s 125th anniversary celebration; approval for preservation and digitization of Probate records; and approval to renew the July 2026 Declaration of a Disaster regarding severe flooding in the County.
The Mason Commission will also consider implementing a 90-day burn ban, and vote to publish proposed increases in salaries and other allowances for County Commissioners.
Commissioners will conclude their session with a discussion of the 2027 budget and the 2026 tax rate.
McCulloch County Commissioners will also be approving publishing proposed increases in salaries and allowances for the 2026-27 budget of Commissioners. They will consider approving the 3rd Quarter Report by the County Treasurer.
McCulloch Commissioners will wrap-up their meeting with a Workshop devoted to the 2027 Fiscal Year budget and to FEMA.
On Wednesday, July 29th, the McCulloch County Commissioner Court will attend a hearing on the Proposed 765 Transmission Line project before the Texas Senate Committee on Business and Commerce in Austin.
