McCulloch Commissioners Approve Insurance Benefits at Monday’s Meeting

At their regular meeting on Monday morning, the McCulloch County Commissioners heard a presentation on proposed employee medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance benefits. After some discussion, Commissioners approved the benefits for county employees.   Other items approved were two proclamations (Recognizing June as Elder Abuse Awareness Month and a proclamation of resolution supporting efforts to combat the threat from the New World Screwworm on area ranchers and a request by the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce to use the courthouse lawn to advertise for the 51st World Champion Goat Cookoff.  The final item to accept a bid for painting and caulking the County Clerk’s office was tabled until the next meeting.

Commissioner Deans also gave an update on the road situation in Precinct 2.  He indicated all affected roads have been reopened but asked that everyone travelling on these roads to use caution and drive slow.  Commissioner Anderson reported the tire and household trash collection event last week was a success.

The next meeting of the McCulloch County Commissioners will be June 23, 2025.
