McCulloch, Mason Comm. Courts Schedule Monday Sessions

Both the McCulloch and Mason County Commissioners’ Courts have scheduled meetings for Monday, Aug. 11.

McCulloch County Commissioners will begin their Monday meeting with three discussion items, with the subjects covering administration of the 452nd Judicial District; the 765KV transmission line coming through the area; and salaries for County elected officials.

Action items on the Commissioners’ agenda include proposed increases in Elected Officials salaries, supplements and stipends. At their last session, Commissioners considers three different motions concerning salaries, but did none was approved.

Alson on the Commissioners’ agenda will be consideration of a request to FEMA for engineering help and funding to make improvements to County Road 472, west of US 377.

Mason County Commissioners will begin their meeting with recognition of the Distinguished Service Award recently presented to the Mason Historical Commission for 2024.

As part of their session, Mason Commissioners will hold a Budget Workshop in which they will vote to set the salaries of elected officials; propose a tax rate for the County; and schedule a Public Hearing on the Tax Rate.
