McCulloch County and Mason County Commissioners’ Courts met for their regularly scheduled sessions on Monday, July 8.
Mason County –
Mason County Commissioners had the distinction Monday morning of holding the first official meeting in the newly restored Commissioners’ Courtroom inside the the Mason County Courthouse. Mason County Judge, Sheree Harden, said it was excitng to be back in restored Courthouse, and she said it was also like coming home to be back.
In their regular session, Mason County Commissioners approving moving ahead with efforts to improve drainage behind Hangars 1-4 at the Mason Airport; approved an agreement with San Patricio County for detention of Juvenile offenders; and approved hiring four new employees for the Sheriff’s Dept. and EMS.
The final item on the Commissioners’ agenda was an information meeting on the Dedication Ceremony for the restored Mason Courthouse scheduled for 11:30am Saturday Morning as part of the Roundup Festival.
McCulloch County –
McCulloch County Commissioners began their session with discussion of the purchase of a Shredder for the County using ARPA funds.
Action actions included approving employee insurance plans for the County; approving a inter-local agreement with San Patricio County for detention of Juvenile defenders; and approving bids for road materials for Precinct 4.
McCulloch Commissioners concluded with a budget workshop.
