At their meetings on Monday, both the McCulloch and Mason County Commissioners Courts voted to implement Burn Bans in their Countyies.
Mason County Judge Sheree Hardin declared a local disaster last week and imposed a Seven-Day Burn Ban that was due to expire on Wednesday. Mason County Commissioners voted to impose an order prohibiting outdoor burning for a period of 90 days
McCulloch Counrty Commissioners chose to impose a 30-day ban on outdoor buring in tghe unincorporated areas of the County.
McCulloch County — Among other items on their agenda, McCulloch Commissioners were presented the Tax Rate calculation worksheet by Chief Appraiser, Zane Brandenberger. They also discussed water damage to the ceiling at the AgriLife Extension Office.
Mason County — Mason County Commissioners began begin their meeting with a Public Hearing on the County’s proposed 2025 Budget and a Public Hearing on the Proposed Tax Rate for 2024.
