The first item on the agenda for McCulloch County Commissioners when they met Tuesday was a request from the Brady Clergy Association and the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce to use the Courthouse lawn on December 10th for the annual Christmas in the Heart observance. This year, the Clergy Association also asked for permission to add real snow to the festivities. The snow will be produced by a snow-making machine the Brady Clergy Assoc. has already scheduled. It will provide snow in two large areas on the east side of the Courthouse, plus a narrow slide area. The prospect of snow at the Christmas in the Heart celebration got quick and enthusiastic approval from the Commissioners.
Also on the Commissioners agenda was approval of two requests from Central Texas Telephone Cooperative to extend existing buried fiber communications cables within the rights-of-way on County Roads 350 and 308.
A resolution authorizing a County grant program with the Texas Dept. of Agriculture Texans Feeding Texans Home Delivered Meal program was also approved by Commissioners.
