McCulloch & Mason Commissioners’ Courts Met Tuesday

McCulloch County

At their meeting Tuesday, McCulloch County Commissioners held a workshop to discuss how they want to allocate the remaining ARPA (or Covid 19 Relief ) Funds available to the County.  Commissioners reviewed already allocated and approved, projects approved but for which funds have not yet been authorized and the amount of money left for other projects.

Commissioners also considered approval of several equipment purchases previously authorized.  Also to be approved will be a records retention system for the County Clerk’s office.

In a related action, Commissioners discussed a memorandum of understanding with First Baptist Church, the McCulloch County Hunger Coalition and the McCulloch County Resource Center covering disposition of COVID 19 relief funds to those organizations for the purchase of food for their food pantry operations.

Mason County

The agenda for the Mason County Commissioners’ meeting included revisions to the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Mason Rodeo Arena; hiring a part-time 4H assistant and a jailer/dispatcher; purchasing a new ambulance chassis; and approval to use Covid 19 Relief funds for road and bridge purchases and for updates to the Historical Building.
