On Wednesday, Feb. 4th, a McCulloch County jury sentenced 37-year-old Clinton Beau Gaylord to 10 years confinement for a felony offense of possession of a controlled substance.
Gaylord was arrested on April 17, 2025 for possession of Methamphetamine. Before the jury trial began, Gaylord entered a plea of guilty to the charge. The jury trial then proceeded to assess punishment.
The jury testimony from witnesses and law enforcement officers from McCulloch and Llano Counties. Gaylord’s punishment for the offense was enhanced because of prior felony convictions in 2014 in Motley County and in 2017 in Llano and San Saba Counties.
Following the jury decision on punishment, 452nd District Attorney, Tanya Spaeth Ahlschwede, stated “We do not tolerate drugs in our community, and we will continue to work closely with law enforcement to hold drug users and drug dealers accountable.”
