The Brady Lady Bulldogs Powerlifting Team made a great showing at Thursday’s State Powerlifting Meet in Edinburg, TX. During the course of the competition, a total of four personal records were broken and one state record set by the Lady Dogs.
Samerra Reed had an incredible day, setting three personal records and taking second place in the 245+lb weight class. She also set a new state record for 3A Division II in deadlift with a lift of 385 pounds, surpassing her own record of 380 pounds she had set last year.
Abigail Rodriguez had a good day in the 105lb weight class and finished in 9th place while in the 165lb weight class, Jordyn Werner achieved a new personal best on bench with an impressive 175 pounds while finishing in 14 place. These young ladies represented Brady High School and our community very well by displaying their hard work, dedication, heart with class.
