A Meet the Candidate Forum has been scheduled in Brady on July 21st at 5:30pm at the McCulloch County Library. The forum is being hosted by the group Citizens For Change.
The candidates participating in the Forum are the Democrat party candidates who are challenging the current Republican incumbents representing this area in the U.S. House and in the Texas House and Senate.
The three candidates area:
Claire Reynolds – Candidate for U.S. Representative – District 11.
Kathryn Hartman – Candidate for State Representative – District 53
Riley Rodriguez – Candidate for State Senate – District 28.
According to the meeting organizer, Citizens for Change, the event’s purpose is to give voters an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates on their views regarding agriculture, education, health care and public safety.
Each candidate will give an opening statement and answer questions from the moderator and from the audience.
An informal meet-and-greet with the candidates is scheduled from 7-7:30pm.
