The City of Mason will be holding Public Hearings on its proposed budget for 2026 and tax rete for 2026.
The Public Hearing on the City’s proposed budget will be Monday, Sept. 28 at 4:15pm at the Richard P. Eckert Civic Center. The Mason City Commission will then hold a Special Meeting following the Public Hearing to consider adopting the budget.
The Mason City Commission will next hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 4:15pm to consider adopting the tax rate for the Tax Year 2026. The Public Hearing will also be held at the Eckert Civic Center.
The tax rate proposed by the Commission is .16 cents per $100 valuation. That rate is the no-new-revenue rate which will not have an increase over the previous year.
