Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) on Thursday applauded the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TXDOT) announcement that $20.8 million in emergency relief will go to counties across Texas hit by the July 4th floods. The funding will help repair roads and bridges that were damaged or destroyed by the floodwaters, reopening critical routes for families, first responders, and local businesses.

Congressman Pfluger worked closely with local leaders, state officials, and the Trump Administration to advocate for a federal disaster declaration for counties in Texas-11 that were severely impacted by flooding, ensuring these communities had access to the federal support they needed to recover.

“The July 4th floods were devastating for communities across Texas, taking precious lives and leaving behind damage that will take time to repair,” said Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11). “I’m grateful to TxDOT for delivering this emergency relief so our roads and bridges can be rebuilt and families can get back to normal. From the beginning, I fought to make sure our counties received a federal disaster declaration and the resources they deserve. I will keep working alongside our local leaders until every community has the support it needs to fully recover,” said Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11).
