Brady HS Current Events Team Repeats as State Champs at UIL Academic Meet

Once again, the Brady HS UIL Current Events team have been crowned 3A State Champions after competing on Tuesday at the UIL Academic State Championships held at the University of Texas Campus in Austin.  Team members James Bain, Matthew Ecton, Cole Hawk, Ella Taccetta and Alternate Ayesha Maligaya took the top spot with a score of 184.  Interestingly, the only teams that had a higher score than Brady were 5A state champion Aledo and 6A state champion Alief Kerr.  Individually, James Bain placed 6th, Matthew Ecton 7th, Cole Hawk 8th and Ella Tacetta 14th.  The coach for the Brady Current Events team is Rex Ewert.
